(August-December 2020)
One of, if not the first attempts I ever made at both figure drawing and digital painting in a more polished and high-quality capacity. I worked on this project on-and-off (roughly an hour a week on average, give or take) starting in late summer of 2020 and finishing around the end of the year.
Personally, I am not super happy with the result of the figure in the image: the entire figure is stretched horizontally/squished vertically, and the shading is overly harsh/hard in many areas (that said, as one of my first attempts at a realistic and finished figure/digital-painting, I am happy with the overall result despite the nitpicks, even though it took a while). I am quite pleased with how the background/environment turned out.
Whatever my thoughts on the piece itself, I can say with certainty that working on this project helped immensely with my ability to create 2D art and has come in handy on many occasions since then.
